CHALLENGE

Crossroads Fellowship has a vision for growth – to reach people with the gospel where they live and in their communities. Being able to facilitate multi-site, multi-venue services and events is a strategic enabler of its vision. But that would require a video distribution system, and the challenge was finding one of high quality within their allocated budget and that would work with their existing AV system. Finally, the installation couldn’t interrupt in any way the church’s weekly Sunday worship. Crossroads Fellowship turned to their longtime AV partner, AVCON, for help with this project.

SOLUTION

AVCON’s first priority was to understand Crossroads Fellowship’s expectations and needs. Specifically, the new system needed to be able to mix camera sources, and create, capture and transmit video to other locations. Because AVCON works with all the industry-leading manufacturers, they were able to help the church’s Worship Technology Manager, Larry Leake, determine which components were most important and then recommend the best technology solution within the client’s budget. It turns out that the Echo Lab video switcher was the right fit for the job. The installation was completed on time and on budget after two, trouble-free weeks – and to Crossroad Fellowship’s satisfaction. It’s successful projects like this that have continued to foster a strong partnership. In fact, AVCON just partnered with the ministry to complete the audio, visual, and lighting for the new adult and youth worship facilities.
