This global biotechnology company was building a new office and manufacturing facility. Central to their needs for the new facility was the ability to maintain a robust, engaging channel for communicating their vision and identity to both corporate partners and employees. This included an AV system that worked across the entire building – from multiple conference, meeting, and training rooms and an executive boardroom to a high-impact auditorium – as well as other elements of communication and signage technologies well integrated throughout the space.

They wanted solutions that were cutting-edge and sophisticated – reflective of the company’s culture – yet still budget savvy.

SOLUTION

AVCON worked side-by-side with United Therapeutics during construction of the facility to design an entire environment – from selecting furniture with appropriate audio visual cable management capabilities and connectivity to technology integration. This level of partnership and collaboration was essential to the success of the project, enabling AVCON to understand every need and expectation down to the tiniest detail, and then make these plans a reality.

After two years of planning and perfecting followed by a trouble-free installation, United Therapeutics now boasts a stunning example of how to effectively engage a corporate audience. At the facility’s core is a circular auditorium featuring four 103” Panasonic displays. This central meeting and communication space is complemented by an AV-integrated boardroom featuring a custom screen, video camera integration and custom-engineered lift assembly, and digital signage at precise points in the building.

AVCON also worked with United Therapeutics to train key technology users. This helped ensure optimum utilization of the system and a solid return on investment.

This partnership continues today with the up-fitting of additional facilities with audio-video conferencing capabilities, as well as on-site tech support and maintenance.
